Watercolor Classes in Full Swing!
Whew! Last week sure did fly by! Between classes and kids activities, I sometimes can’t seem to keep my head on straight. It’s like a merry go round with all the creativity and sports around here lately! I’m actually looking forward to winter, if you can believe that!
Last week was busy with a few different classes and I’m sharing some of what we did with you so you can “ooooh and aaaah” over the awesomeness of our creative ladies!
Wednesday we worked on Christmas ornaments in our weekly art club meeting. Using a clothespin as a base, we built our little paper doll girls and dressed them up in their holiday best, complete with sparkly and fabulous holiday accoutrements!
Our final Whimsical Watercolor 1 finished up on Thursday and the ladies had a ball painting their very own Christmas cards. From trees and snowflakes to wreaths and snowmen, we were getting into the holiday spirit and using the techniques we’ve been working on for the last 4 weeks. We also enjoyed looking at all the previous art we completed in class and at home, including this fabulous watercolor collage:
Friday was a super creative day as well in our Whimsical Watercolor 3 class! Painting a gorgeous Autumnal landscape was the feature project, and we’ll finish those up before this Friday’s class. Our first class featured doodled rocks using a limited color palette and of course, our black pen! I’d share but I’m thinking I’d like to make it a portfolio piece at the end of class to share with everyone then.
This coming week we also have two classes happening on Thursday. Check out what’s available and register for a seat!
