Are You Ready?!?

The start of the #100DayProject is only a few short days away and I am ready to go!

This is my 5th year participating in this fabulous challenge and I am so excited to get started! In past years I’ve worked on 100 mini collages, 100 inchies, 100 marks and 100 mixed media layers. Sometimes I work a week ahead if I know I’m going to be straight out with family stuff and other projects. I refuse to stress out about participating in this yearly challenge because it’s supposed to be fun and joyful! So I do the best I can and always enjoy the finished result and feel proud of the accomplishment.

This year’s #100DayProject is really exciting to me! I’ve decided to make a deck of cards. I’ve cut up some watercolor paper into 100 cards sized 3x4 and rounded the edges. I even purchased these adorable little metal boxes to keep them in. And rather than lock myself into a particular medium, I’ll change it up and use watercolor, collage, markers, pens and mixed media to create this deck. I figure whatever I have on my desk at the time will suffice and keep things fresh and exciting!

Doodle, paint, draw, sew, knit, crochet, read, brush your teeth… whatever you think you can manage for 100 days! It’s a great way to stay motivated, creative and accountable while giving yourself time each day to do something just for you!
